Antetokounmpo Academy: Empowering youth on and off the court for the 7th consecutive year

The Antetokounmpo Academy, a program by the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), proudly enters its seventh year of opening paths for youth through basketball, education, and community. Inspired by the values of the Antetokounmpo brothers — hard work, family, and giving back — the Academy offers a holistic program that helps young people grow not only as athletes, but also as resilient, engaged individuals with a drive to contribute to society.

Once again, the program includes basketball training sessions led by Evanthia Maltsi and the Eurohoops team, along with the Academy’s own Basketball School, helping participants further develop their skills on the court.

Off the court, boys and girls take part in empowerment seminars at Pierce College, with a newly designed curriculum focused on key life skills: stress resilience, environmental awareness, introduction to AI, and team spirit — all aimed at helping participants become the best version of themselves.

For the first time, the Academy’s 7th cycle also includes volunteering and community service activities, offering participants the opportunity to experience firsthand the value of giving back — a core principle of the Antetokounmpo family — while fostering a culture of empathy and responsibility that transcends sports.

Supporters Who Make a Difference

The Academy operates thanks to the support of a trusted ecosystem of partners. The Kaizen Foundation provides strategic funding to ensure young people, and their families have the resources to grow.

“At Kaizen Foundation, we believe that small, steady steps can create meaningful change. Supporting the Academy is an investment in the next generation, giving young people the skills, confidence and opportunities to build brighter futures”, said Panos Konstantopoulos, President of the Foundation.

Premia Properties supports the program’s growth with a donation that contributes to a safe and nurturing environment for learning and development on and off the court.

The Hellenic Wineries Group of Companies, with its commitment to community, culture, and responsible growth, helps empower the Academy to offer experiences that combine sport with values like teamwork, resilience, and social inclusion.

The City of Athens, plays a key role in the operation of the Academy both through OPANDA (Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth) by providing municipal courts for the children’s training sessions, ensuring the program takes place in safe and accessible spaces for all,and through the collaboration of the Department of Social Solidarity and the Migrant Integration Center of the municipality

“Every year, we aim to do more than teach basketball—we aim to open doors,” said Lauren Cochlin, Global Director of CAFF. “Year 7 is about helping kids discover their best selves, while giving back to their communities, just as the Antetokounmpo family has always done.”
